Google Revamps AdWords Agency Service Model

Google AdWords recently sent a mail to all the agency customers notifying them about the change that will happen to the AdWords support model they are already using. The conventional support model will be replaced by “Enhanced Agency Service Model” and will be effective in the US and UK from the 1st of January.

Google is apparently restructuring the AdWords support for agencies as it was realized that the number of dedicated representatives was reducing over recent months. The ones who are going to have their account managers in Google now will have their communications changed.

According to Google officials, one of the sets of such agencies is going to have a dedicated section in the agency that is going to offer expertise specific to the industry only. The second agency set is going to receive support through the phone.

With this news, there was a rumor as well that agency report will be outsourced to India. Google already has great support setup in India but there was no news that this dedicated support will also base in India. The wild guess of the minute is that first level support might come from India and second level support from offices based in the US.

Google claims to have changed the structure of agency support in order to scale and align the teams with vertical expertise and yet focus on the areas of all the agency partners. Google expects to have an improved number of shared clients through this venture. It will also let them have better insight of the clients and therefore produce better results through collaboration.

The complete hierarchy of the new support system is going to provide industry specific solution to the agencies therefore strengthening the business partnerships. The real-time results will be obvious after it comes to life effective from January 1st.
