For my friends depending on Google for all their searches there is interesting news which will strengthen their trust on Google. There is news coming up from United States of America revealing that once again Google has maintained its supremacy in cyber world by emerging as an eminent search engine in search engine region of United States during June, thus breaking its own set record established in May during this year. Moving towards other search engine Bing noticed an increase in its use as search engine. The most surprising result of this research was decline in search market of Yahoo.
According to statistics of study Google’s market in search engine counted for 66.8 percent during the end of June 2012, thus overcoming it’s earlier record of 66.7 percent determined in May during this year. Prior to this during the same month i.e., in June 2011 Google had noticed 65.5 percent hold on search engine market. Google’s closest contender Bing with 15.6 percent share although succeeded in improving its ranking but still it has long way to cross over Google to capture the top position. However it has reason to celebrate by improving its rank from 14.4 percent recorded last in June 2011.
The most stunning results were noticed by Yahoo which recorded huge decline in its market share coming down from 15.9 percent to 13 percent during the same period between June 2011 to June 2012 respectively. Thus, shifting from second position to third position.
The other search engines Ask and AOL did not noticed much difference with market share of 3 percent and 1.5 percent correspondingly, both of them noticed an improvement of 0.1 percent increase in their share as compared to last year during the same period.
The organic searches from Google also noticed an increase of 0.1 percent from 68.9 percent in May 2012 to 69 percent during June 2012. On the contrary Bing’s powered search market sustained at 25.6 percent.
Moving towards other searches for instance “Explicit core” recorded decline of 2 percent by 17.1 billion searches conducted during June 2012. The share of Google declined from 11.7 billion during May to 11.4 billion during June 2012. Bing sustained it second position by 2.7 billion searches whereas Yahoo maintained its third position but it also measured decline from 2.3 billion to 2.2 billion. The same decline trend was noticed by Ask and AOL who marked decline from 521 million to 516 million and 265 million from 268 million respectively.
